Regard yourself as a cloud in the flesh… Because you see, clouds never make mistakes. Did you ever see a cloud that was misshapen? Did you ever see a badly designed wave? No. (…) You are like cloud and water. And through that realization, without overcompensating in the other direction, you will come to the point where you begin to be on good terms with your own being, and to be able to trust your own brain. ~ Alan Watts

I have been working in the field for the past few years, helping individuals gain personal insights that ultimately lead to personal growth and change. I diligently work to create a caring, structured environment wherein the client can develop trust to risk the process of therapy. In doing so, the client and I can build a solid working alliance. I recognize that, for many individuals, present actions and thoughts are driven by past experiences; this is why I strive to help individuals gain awareness of themselves by, in part, examining their personal events.

I earned his master’s in counseling psychology from Western Michigan University in 2016. I am currently pursuing my CAADC certification. My education and training emphasize a social, behavioral, and relational focus. I encourage clients to think about events and try to identify thoughts and emotions. By recognizing how actions, thoughts, and emotions connect, change can begin. I have worked with adolescents and adults in various settings with a number of focuses (e.g., addiction counseling, suicide prevention, anxiety, depression).

I am a Master’s Limited Psychologist (MLP) in the state of Michigan. As such, I receive ongoing supervision from a fully licensed psychologist, Julie Meredith Davis, Ph.D., LP.
