Becca Jokinen, MA, DTLLP, LPC

Hello! I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Michigan and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I received my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northern Arizona University in 2020 and worked as a full-time therapist for a few years before heading back to school for my doctorate degree in counseling psychology. I am currently interested in conducting psychological assessments.

I believe in using a holistic approach in therapy and assessment work, and draw heavily from Humanistic psychology, Adlerian psychology, interpersonal processing, mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches. As a clinician, I value individuality, collaboration, culturally informed practices, and creating a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients. My approach is open, active, creative, and positive in nature. My clinical interests include working with LGBTQIA+ populations, neurodiverse populations, anxiety management, identity development, body-image concerns, and life transitions.

I am currently a doctoral student at Western Michigan University and a Doctoral-Level Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (DTLLP) in Michigan. As a doctoral student, I am under the direct supervision of Dr. Julie Meredith Davis, a fully licensed psychologist. To schedule an appointment, please call the main office at 269-459-1818.
