I prioritize building a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients because I believe that this promotes a healing environment where change and growth are possible. I approach therapy with a sense of curiosity, warmth, and honesty in hopes that clients feel understood, supported, and empowered during their unique therapeutic journey. I understand that for many individuals past experiences impact present concerns, which is why I strive to help clients gain improved self-awareness and rediscover personal strengths.
I have been working in the field with my master’s degree since 2017. I earned her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Western Michigan University. My education and training emphasize developmental and relational patterns, and I seek to understand these patterns to help clients improve their relational dynamics and manage emotional distress.
Prior to receiving my master’s degree, I worked in an educational and social service setting connecting children and their families with local resources. Upon completion of my master’s degree, I continued working with children and their families but in a new role where I provided support for their behavioral and mental health needs while simultaneously starting to offer therapy in the private practice setting. My private practice includes working with children ages 3-7 and adults facing anxiety, grief, life transitions, relational concerns, trauma, and family issues.
I am a Master’s Limited Psychologist (MLP) in the state of Michigan. As an MLP, I am under the direct supervision of Julie M. Davis, Ph.D., LP. To schedule an appointment, please call the main office at 269-459-1818. Please know that I am currently doing both in-person and telehealth therapy.
