Amber Jaramillo, MA, MLP

I have been working with clients since 2017. As I think about therapy, I know how important it is to have a safe space where the client and I can develop a collaborative relationship. I understand that our present thoughts, feelings, and actions are often driven by past experiences; this is why I aim to assist clients in developing self-awareness to create self-direction.

My education emphasizes developmental, social, and relational aspects. I have received training in both trauma and Motivational Interviewing. I draw from various influences including Cognitive-behavioral, Emotion-focused, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. My private practice involves working with individuals ranging from adolescents to the elderly.

I earned a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Western Michigan University. I am a Master’s Limited Psychologist (MLP) in the State of Michigan, which allows me to diagnose and treat mental health disorders. As an MLP, I receive ongoing supervision from a fully licensed psychologist, Julie Meredith Davis, Ph.D., LP
