she/her/hers
Rebecca has been working in the field with her master’s degree since 2016. Prior to receiving her master’s degree, Rebecca worked for 11 years with adults with developmental disabilities and adults in addiction. She diligently strives to provide a safe environment where she and the client can form a solid working alliance. Rebecca recognizes that for many, present actions are driven by past experiences and, because of this, Rebecca works hard to help the client gain self-awareness of the influence of the past.
Rebecca earned her master’s degree from Western Michigan University. She is currently enrolled in the doctoral counseling psychology program at Western Michigan University and is a doctoral candidate. Her education and training emphasize developmental, social, and relational aspects. Rebecca believes that therapy should be catered to the individual, and her approach is based on the assumption that the client should be seen as a whole person rather than simply a list of symptoms. Rebecca’s private practice includes working with individuals, adolescents, racial/ethnic minorities, and sexual minorities. Rebecca has experience working with individuals facing anxiety and depression, individuals dealing with family pressures and relational issues, and individuals in active addiction and recovery.
Rebecca is licensed as a Master’s Limited Psychologist (MLP) in the State of Michigan. As an MLP, Rebecca receives ongoing supervision from a fully licensed psychologist, Julie Meredith Davis, Ph.D., LP. To learn more about Rebecca, please visit her PsychologyToday page.
