Patrick Marcoux, MS, LPC

Patrick has more than ten years of experience working with clients across various age-ranges who struggle with painful life experiences. He collaboratively works to cultivate an open, caring, and trusting environment so that clients and he can form a positive working alliance. Patrick recognizes that past experiences can direct present actions and thoughts and, as a result, strives to help clients make the connections so that healing can occur.

Patrick earned his Masters in Counseling at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and is currently a doctoral student in the counseling psychology program at Western Michigan University. His education and training align with his focus on the impact of developmental, social, and relationship experiences. Patrick takes a holistic approach in counseling, which means he considers who clients were, who they are, and who they want to be. He provides interpersonal, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive counseling as he works with clients through a number of struggles (e.g., high school/college transitions, stress and anger issues, health-related difficulties like chronic pain and HIV, family conflict, relationship concerns, self-esteem and identity, grief, loss, trauma, gender identity development).

Patrick is licensed as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Michigan. As an LPC, Patrick receives ongoing supervision from a fully licensed psychologist, Julie Meredith Davis, Ph.D., LP.
