she/her/hers
Life can be hard. And it can feel even more challenging when you’re feeling alone in your struggles, or you just need some additional support through it all. Kaitie strives to work with you through these challenges by recognizing and building off your strengths, supporting your growth, and providing a space where it is safe for you to be vulnerable, be yourself, and find yourself if you are feeling lost. Kaitie strives to listen and understand you and your challenges as best as she can as the therapeutic relationship develops. Along with building a therapeutic relationship with you, Kaitie understands there is no “one size fits all” approach when working with a person and aims to use approaches and techniques that work best for you to best fit your needs. Kaitie knows you are the expert on yourself and wants to work with you to process what is going on, and the hope is you can take the skills and knowledge gained in therapy to meet life’s challenges after the therapeutic relationship has ended.
Kaitie has prior experience stabilizing individuals in crisis from a brief solution-focused model to help them through that moment when they are having thoughts of suicide, difficulty with depression, family issues, among many other overwhelming situations. Kaitie has therapy experience working with adolescents and adults with various backgrounds and identities. She has additional experience administering assessments. Some of Kaitie’s areas of interest include working with college students, anxiety, depression, adjustment, divorce, relational issues, and grief/loss.
Kaitie earned her master’s degree in counseling psychology at Western Michigan University and is currently a Temporary Master’s Limited Psychologist (TMLP). As a TMLP, Kaitie engages in ongoing supervision with Dr. Julie Meredith Davis, Ph.D., LP, who is a fully licensed psychologist.
