Jon Hook, MA, TMLP

Jon believes that a genuine human connection is the basis of all positive change in therapy. He takes a humble and collaborative approach to his work and relies on the clients’ feedback to ensure that they are getting what they need. Jon’s style is casual, warm, and approachable, and he strives to create a confidential, non-judgmental space where clients can speak freely. He uses a strengths-based approach to help clients get in touch with what they value most and become more flexible in response to the uncertainties of life. Jon is a strong believer that effective therapy can take many forms from traditional talk therapy to the use of art and roleplaying games.

Jon specializes in anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress, neurodivergent populations, and life transitions. Jon has worked with children, adolescents, college students, and adults of all ages. He enjoys working with all different types of people and is passionate about examining the role of culture, identity, and social systems in contributing to mental illness.

Jon earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Purdue University in 2017. He completed his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Western Michigan University in 2022, and he is currently enrolled in the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program at WMU.

Jon is a Temporary Master’s Limited Psychologist (TMLP) in the State of Michigan. As such, he receives ongoing supervision from a fully licensed psychologist, Julie Meredith Davis, Ph.D., LP. Jon is currently seeing clients in person, as well as via telehealth. To schedule an appointment with Jon, please call the main office at 269-459-1818.
