Overview
We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) and Clinical Social Workers (MSW) to join our team. As a critical member of our mental health team, you will play a vital role in providing individuals, couples, and families services. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree or higher, a passion for helping others, and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care. We strongly encourage applicants with expertise in supporting racially diverse and LGBTQIA+ populations to apply.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Establish a positive, trusting rapport with clients.
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances.
- Meet with clients regularly to provide counseling and treatment.
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of client meetings and progress.
- Involve and advise family members/caregivers when appropriate.
- Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Complete continuing education units (CEUs) as required by Michigan state standards.
Work Hours & Benefits
- Create your own work schedule.
- Work part or full-time. (This is an independent contractor position.)
- Meet with clients virtually and/or in person in our Cascade or Wyoming offices.
- Access to tailored assistance from our support team, including: billing, client scheduling, credentialing, social media marketing, and professional development
Desired Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree or higher in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, or a related field.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Clinical Social Worker (MSW) in Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated expertise or interest in working with racially diverse and LGBTQIA+ populations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish trust with clients and collaborate with team members.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and thorough client documentation.
- Self-motivated with excellent time-management skills to balance a flexible, independent schedule.
Education & Licensing Requirements
- Master’s in Social Work (MSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Current with all state licensing requirements (LPC) or (LMSW)
