Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) and Clinical Social Workers (MSW) to join our team. As a critical member of our mental health team, you will play a vital role in providing individuals, couples, and families services. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree or higher, a passion for helping others, and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care. We strongly encourage applicants with expertise in supporting racially diverse and LGBTQIA+ populations to apply.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Establish a positive, trusting rapport with clients.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances.
  • Meet with clients regularly to provide counseling and treatment.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of client meetings and progress.
  • Involve and advise family members/caregivers when appropriate.
  • Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
  • Complete continuing education units (CEUs) as required by Michigan state standards.

Work Hours & Benefits

  • Create your own work schedule.
  • Work part or full-time. (This is an independent contractor position.)
  • Meet with clients virtually and/or in person in our Cascade or Wyoming offices.
  • Access to tailored assistance from our support team, including: billing, client scheduling, credentialing, social media marketing, and professional development

Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • Master’s degree or higher in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Clinical Social Worker (MSW) in Michigan.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated expertise or interest in working with racially diverse and LGBTQIA+ populations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish trust with clients and collaborate with team members.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and thorough client documentation.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time-management skills to balance a flexible, independent schedule.

Education & Licensing Requirements

  • Master’s in Social Work (MSW)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Current with all state licensing requirements (LPC) or (LMSW)
