Grace Yensch, MA, TMLP

Grace (they/them) works to create a welcoming and collaborative environment in the therapy room. As a primarily person-centered therapist, they believe that empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard help create the space necessary for clients to understand themselves and make positive change in their lives. Grace also draws from strengths-based and solution-focused practices to help clients who may be looking to develop better coping skills to manage their mental health concerns in daily life.

Grace specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ individuals ages 14 and older. They enjoy helping clients understand the impact their cultural identities have on experiences of stress and wellbeing. They also have experience working with both queer and non-queer clients on issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, perfectionism, and relationship dysfunction.

Grace earned their Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Communication Studies from the University of Michigan in 2014. They completed their Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology at Western Michigan University in 2019, and they are currently enrolled in the Counseling Psychology doctoral program at WMU.

Grace is a Temporary Master’s Limited Psychologist (TMLP) in the State of Michigan. As such, Grace receives ongoing supervision from a fully licensed psychologist, Julie Meredith Davis, Ph.D., LP. To schedule an appointment with Grace, please call the main office at 269-459-1818.
